
While there are literally thousands of inane and mundane “International Days” such as World Toothache Day (February 9th) and International Hug Your Cat Day (June 4), there are many other days throughout the year designated to serious global issues. These dates, can serve as a way for raising awareness amongst students about world concerns. Used in combination with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these “International Days” can support learning outcomes.
