International students coming to study in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board have many options open to them. For over twenty years, students have come from all over the world to improve and develop their English language skills, to experience educational and cultural immersion, and to make global connections.
International students have the opportunity to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) which opens doors to higher learning institutions around the world. Students benefit from the many opportunities offered to study in programs that best suit their specific needs. Students can opt to study over one semester, a full year, or continue on and graduate. Students with strong English language skills can apply for Advanced Placement or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Students wanting to earn credits and improve their English have access to Secondary Schools with ESL support.
